Business Going Down?
Have you tried to build a company or possibly try to improve the way you do business? One thing I know from building two successful companies, there are some things you have to put in place.
Back about 5 years ago, I was at a strange place. A place I didn’t know. I had resigned from my position at work, took a few months off and was not sure what I wanted to do. All I knew was I wanted to put my hand in owning my own company and take that for a spin.
I was not sure what building a company was going to look like or honestly how to build a company the “right” way, if there even is a right way.
I started to try different things. Calling people, going to networking events, google ads and a myriad of other things. Some of it started paying off a little but nothing like I needed. I was in a new city, married and did not have enough money on my own to take care of our bills. What was I going to do? This is when I got serious about building our company.
Have you been in a similar situation? A place where you were at the end and not sure which direction to go? Maybe you have experienced some of the same issues; not enough money, not enough clients walking through the door, bills coming in every day that you really can’t afford.
It can put a lot of stress on you, on your marriage, on your family if you are not sure how to get yourself out of the rut.
I want to spend the next few discussion posts on what I did that caused my business to go down which ultimately led to my business profiting $20,000 in just a couple of days. There are some preliminary things you need to know. Some basic information.
The first is, there is no such thing as business ethics. If you don’t have this one down, the next few discussions I share with you will not matter a bit. Ethics is something you either have or you don’t. John C. Maxwell one time was asked to write a book on business ethics. He thought about it and told the publisher, it is impossible to write a book about that. There is no such thing. You either have ethics or you don’t. Meaning, when you work for a company or you own your own company, you OWN it. It does not matter what is taking place, you take responsibility.
When someone walks in your place of business you have two options, either do what is right or do what is wrong. There is no in-between. It does not matter if you cost you the profit of the sale. It does not matter if it cost you more than the profit of the sale. You do what is right no matter what. There are many different aspects that I could share with you, but I want to leave it pretty basic. I need you to get that concept in your mind. Don’t act like you don’t know what is going on. Don’t act like you said something that you didn’t. You own it and you do what is right regardless of the outcome.
Over the next several weeks I am going to share with you some of the proven results to our success. I want to help you build your financial future with success.
